“Forest Enterprise Scotland will be continuing with the on going programme to remove crops infected by Dothistroma Needle Blight (Red Band Needle Blight) with a further clearfell affecting the Mannoch Road. This will result in the closure of the road on safety grounds for approximately the final half mile near to the Mannoch Gate boundary with Knockando Estate. This area is remote with very limited public use but explanatory signage will be in place at the access points to the forest. The work is expected to commence in mid October and may continue, subject to weather conditions, until March 2012." |
